Death really puts a lot of things in perspective. Even more so when it is an extremely unexpected passing of someone whose life was only just beginning.

Today's already 23 January! How fast time flies eh... And I haven't been updating this space at all, mostly because I've been posting more on Tumblr haha. I don't really have much to update or say anyway... Just more of my thoughts and random ramblings on the go so Tumblr has been really perfect for that. The year seems okay for me so far... Hopefully it'll pick up soon and be a productive one!

I am also so damn glad that my bout of allergies are over and done with!! It was such a nightmare having my face looking like a wreck... My self-esteem also took a plunge. But alhamdulillah I have everything under control now and I'm more cautious of the things that I put in my mouth. Hopefully with me cutting down on seafood, meat, nuts etc etc and replacing them with lots of vegetables, tofu etc I can also lose weight and tone up!

I had a wonderful weekend... Hope you guys have a good week ahead too :)

Here we are again, about to usher in the new year. 2011 has been extremely memorable for me, Alhamdulillah. There were disappointments here and there but for the most part, I was happy! Very happy.

I met a lovely person this year and we eventually got together... I wasn't really expecting it, but it happened. Despite my boyfriend being such a geek (hehe), he's always been such an inspiration to me. A year on and I still find myself having so much to learn from him. It is truly my good fortune to have met him and I am so thankful every day.

This year I've also gotten closer to my family. I seem to be more involved, loving and caring towards my siblings. It's also much more lively in the house these days... In fact, I actually think the whole family has gotten close. It's a good feeling definitely... I no longer feel this void where family life is concerned.

Personal development aside, the past twelve months saw me going berserk with shows and concerts! In chronological order, I've watched Taylor Swift, Maroon 5 and Switchfoot in concert, and more recently Wicked the musical. In total, I've spent close to $600! But hell, they were worth my every.single.cent. The ultimate highlight for me was Maroon 5 of course!! My love for the band and more importantly Adam Levine, will never change :p

I'm not in school yet due to some personal reasons but I've decided not to be bothered by the fact that I'm "lagging behind". In this period that I have not been in school, I've met so many amazing people from all walks of life, gained valuable life experience and I honestly wouldn't have wanted it any other way. The people dearest to me are also supportive of my decision(s) and that's all that matters.

2011, thank you for being so wonderful! I look forward to betterment and a more enriching and fulfilling year in 2012. Have a great one you guys :)
